Competitive advantage with
IoTOS IIoT applications for
digital production platforms
How do automotive suppliers secure competitive advantages through smooth integration into the digital production platforms of automobile manufacturers? Together with partners such as SupplyOn, Bosch Rexroth, German Edge Cloud, SoftProject and other established players, IoTOS showed how this can be done safely and efficiently. An Industrial Track & Trace scenario across all supply chains was mapped with integration into the OEM's digital production platforms to optimize recall campaigns in the field.
Thank you for being there!
The presented Use Cases met with great interest at the Hannover Messe 2019:
smart predictive maintenance (with KI)
Booth: SoftProject GmbH
Hall 5, Booth D16
The use case presented here is currently being implemented at Limtronik GmbH by German Edge Cloud GmbH (GEC) and IoTOS GmbH to optimize the qualitative and quantitative output of the two High Volume Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) production plants. The master and transaction data of the IoTOS Track & Trace Service, which is supplied with master and transaction data via the IoTOS Integration Service powered by X4 (X4 Suite from SoftProject), is combined with the data of the SMT process flow and AI or machine learning services of the German Edge Cloud.
Water Quality Tracking System (WQTS)
Booth: Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Hall 6, Booth F46
The first version of a "Water Quality Tracking System (WQTS)" based on the IoTOS Suite can be seen at the AWS booth F46 in hall 6. This was developed in cooperation with the manufacturer of spectral sensors Trios GmbH and the specialists for satellite technology GESAT GmbH as well as the Fraunhofer IOSB.
The first version of the Water Quality Tracking System (WQTS) contains data visualization, based on the acquisition of measured values of the Trios spectral sensors via an IoT gateway. The collected data can be used for condition monitoring of water quality in rivers, lakes and oceans. In the future, hybrid cloud-enabled applications for the control of drinking water and wastewater treatment plants will also be offered.
Integration of digital production platform
Booth: Smart Electronic Factory e.V.
Hall 7, Booth D26
Digital production platform with Use Case Track & Trace, Recalls and Route optimization.
In the future, automotive OEMs want to be informed immediately if problems occur within the supply chain or in the field in order to reduce production downtime and minimize recall risks. Together with our partners, we will show how this can be achieved and how suppliers in particular can achieve a digital connection while at the same time retaining control over their data at all times.
Development of a German Edge Cloud based on 5G technology
Booth: Rittal GmbH & Co. KG
Hall 11, Booth E06
Visitors to the booth will be able to remotely control a 2-armed robot via radio cells connected to an Edge-based 5G core network using VR glasses and two VR controllers. The scenario shows how in the future private campus networks can be operated and used at production sites for low-latency, near-real-time applications using Edge-based, standards-compliant 5G core networks.
